Liam James is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Global Transaction Advisory Group in London. He brings more than 10 years of accounting and transaction advisory experience, specializing in financial due diligence and transaction advisory services for both corporate and private equity clients.

Mr. James has worked on over 75 buy-side, sell-side, and refinancing transactions. His primary areas of focus include the software and technology, healthcare, and financial services sectors.

Mr. James has provided transaction support for several private equity clients, including TA Associates, Francisco Partners, Partners Group, Platinum Equity, GHO Capital, and FTV Capital, among others. Further, he has strong sell-side experience, having assisted with GHO Capital’s exit of FairJourney Biologics, Genstar Capital’s minority sale of Apex Group, and the sale of Hornetsecurity to Proofpoint.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. James worked for EY’s Audit practice.

Mr. James earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Oxford Brookes University. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). In addition, he received the ICAEW Annual International Order of Merit ACA Advanced Level.
