Kristoffer Ståhlbröst

With 20 years of experience advising stakeholders, Mr. Ståhlbröst specialises in advising creditors, shareholders, management teams and new investors in financially challenging situations to preserve value and maximise recoveries or returns. He has the technical skills and commercial acumen required to develop and negotiate creative solutions in complex multi-stakeholder transactions. Mr. Ståhlbröst has worked with clients across various industries, including airlines, automotive, building materials, business services, construction, entertainment, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, media, metals and mining, oil and gas, real estate, retail, renewable energy, shipping, technology and telecom.
Mr. Ståhlbröst has led some of the largest and most-publicized stressed and distressed public and private transactions in the Nordics and in Continental Europe, including Belgium, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. He has also advised clients in Dubai, Egypt and Kenya.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ståhlbröst was a Partner and Nordic Leader for Corporate Finance (M&A, Restructuring, Valuation) at EY. He also has more than 12 years of investment banking experience, focusing on restructuring, leveraged finance, corporate finance and credit at various investment banks across Europe, serving most recently with the Royal Bank of Scotland as Head of Corporate Restructurings in the Nordics.
Mr. Ståhlbröst earned a bachelor’s degree in economics (financial economics concentration) and an MBA (corporate finance concentration). A Swedish national, he has lived in France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. and speaks the Scandinavian languages, English, and French.
