With more than 25 years of consulting and industry leadership experience, Mr. Carl has worked across a range of industries, including travel and hospitality, software, retail, staffing, logistics and financial services. Additionally, he has led or contributed to the successful visioning and execution of some of the world’s largest and most complex digital and technology transformation efforts at clients such as Marriott International, Wyndham Hotel Group, United Parcel Service, Spherion, Budget Rent-a-Car and Carnival Cruise Line.
Most recently, Mr. Carl served as General Manager of Multicloud for Copado, a software development company backed by Insight Partners, Salesforce Ventures and SoftBank Vision Fund. In this role, he defined the vision, business opportunity and strategy to extend Copado’s capabilities beyond Salesforce and into additional Cloud and SaaS platforms. As SVP of Product Engineering, Mr. Carl led the definition and execution of the product roadmap and operating model transformation.
Previously, Mr. Carl served as Group Vice President of Global Hospitality Consulting with Oracle Hospitality, where he led the practice through a transformation to better position services for innovation, scale and cost efficiency in support of one of the world’s largest cloud migration initiatives. He also served as EVP and Global Chief Information Technology Officer with Radisson Hotel Group. As CIO, he led the hotel group’s global IT organization through two acquisitions; a sweeping reinvention and rebranding of the company; and the creation and early-stage execution of a five-year operating plan enabled via digital transformation. Mr. Carl also served as Global Managing Director, Digital Travel at Accenture, where he was accountable for Accenture’s go-to-market strategy definition and expansion of digital services to travel industry clients globally.
Mr. Carl earned a bachelor’s degree in politics and German (honors) from Washington and Lee University and served as a Captain in the United States Army.
