Julie Hertzberg
Ms. Hertzberg oversees Chapter 11 preparation and reporting requirements from pre-filing through distribution. This includes preparing the creditor matrix, drafting schedules and statements of financial affairs, performing claims reconciliation, leading lease assumption/rejection analyses, driving distribution processes, and executing all facets of post-confirmation winddown. She collaborates with the various professionals and clients involved, integrating the financial and legal reporting requirements necessary to file and manage a Chapter 11 case.
With 24 years of restructuring experience, Ms. Hertzberg has advised on hundreds of Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Her notable assignments include Lehman Brothers, Puerto Rico, Yellow Corporation, Celsius Network, Revlon, Rite Aid Corporation, Seadrill, iHeartMedia, Blockbuster, Patriot Coal, Visteon Corporation, and The Chicago Tribune.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Hertzberg practiced law in the Corporate Restructuring practice at Pepper Hamilton (now Troutman Pepper Locke). She also served as a Managing Director for an international claims agent and information management firm.
Ms. Hertzberg earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a JD (honors) from the University of New Mexico. She is a Past President of INSOL International, an insolvency and restructuring organization with over 10,000 members in over 90 countries.
