Ms. Diehl started the supply chain practice for Alvarez & Marsal more than 11 years ago with the mindset of combining industry-experienced practitioners with problem-solving consultants to share knowledge and train clients so that the performance improvement realized is sustainable for the long term. Having spent half of her career in industry and the other half in consulting, she has found this combination has helped clients execute and achieve quick results.
Strategic sourcing is Ms. Diehl’s primary area of specialization and her work extends across many industries, both private and public, including manufacturing, energy / oil and gas, automotive, airlines, building and construction, state and city government, and distribution.
Ms. Diehl’s other areas of specialty include strategic sourcing (including low cost country sourcing), profit and margin improvement, go-to market pricing strategies, supply chain management, cost reduction, supplier relationship management, vendor management, operations improvement, logistics network optimization, procure-to-pay, sales and marketing, and IT sourcing strategy. Her skill set encompasses not only supply chain, but other areas of business, including sales and marketing.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Diehl served in several senior management positions with Pennzoil-Quaker State Company. As Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing, she led the U.S. and Asia sourcing teams. As Vice President of National Account Sales, she managed the sales team serving retailers throughout the U.S.
Prior to these senior roles, she served as Brand Manager, overseeing the marketing team in the development of marketing, advertising and promotional strategies for consumer products sold to the retail and installed markets.
