Julia Heidelbach is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Zurich. She brings over 15 years of experience in financial advisory and forensic accounting.

Ms. Heidelbach’s primary areas of concentration are valuations arising from post-M&A and shareholder disputes, expert determinations, and damages arising from commercial disputes. She has worked with clients in various industries, including manufacturing, hotels and leisure, financial services, pharma, and private equity.

Notably, Ms. Heidelbach provided expert evidence in a U.K. High Court litigation related to the valuation of companies in the context of a restructuring. She prepared, authored, and co-authored quantum expert opinions on behalf of claimants and defendants/respondents for the purposes of arbitration, litigation, and out-of-court settlement.

Ms. Heidelbach has also been involved with regulatory investigations involving Swiss and foreign oversight bodies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Department of Justice, Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. She has assisted investors, boards, and C-suite clients in conducting special audits and investigations into financial statement manipulation, misuse of corporate assets, fraud, regulatory non-compliance, and related topics across Europe, the U.S., Asia, and Australia.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Heidelbach spent more than six years in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory and Audit teams in Zurich, most recently serving as a Director. Previously, she worked with EY in Zurich and London.

Ms. Heidelbach earned a bachelor’s degree in finance (honors). She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (EACVA), and the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA). A German national and Swiss resident, Ms. Heidelbach is fluent in German and English.
