He advises U.S. and foreign clients on complex business transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations and structuring investments. He has worked in a variety of industries, including retail, real estate, telecommunications, energy, media and environmental.
In particular, Mr. Ferrucho assists in the planning and implementation of multi-jurisdictional, tax efficient structures for his clients. He advises clients on international transfer pricing issues, including compliance with U.S. and foreign transfer pricing regulations, in connection with new or existing business operations and transactions. He also assists clients prepare and manage their tax returns and other related obligations in the U.S. and across multiple jurisdictions. He advises clients on tax controversy matters, including representing clients involved in IRS or foreign tax audits, as well as assisting in tax audit planning and management.
In addition, Mr. Ferrucho advises high net-worth multinational individuals and families on the international tax issues impacting both their business operations and their personal wealth and succession planning. In particular, he provides tax planning advice on pre-immigration, expatriation, structuring cross-border investments, and using domestic and foreign trusts.
Mr. Ferrucho earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Florida Atlantic University. He was awarded a juris doctor, cum laude, from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he served as Associate Editor for the Indiana Law Journal. He also holds a master of laws degree (LL.M.) in taxation from the University of Florida College of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the American Bar Association. He is fluent in Spanish.
