Joseph Lauro

With more than 30 years of financial executive experience, Mr. Lauro has worked in a variety of positions, including Managing Director of a private investment firm, where he managed a direct investment portfolio of CPG operating companies and functioned as CFO at the holding company. He also served as Managing Director of a national investment banking firm and spent 10 years at a Big Four accounting firm. Mr. Lauro has worked across a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution and consumer products goods, including food and beverage and agribusiness.
Mr. Lauro’s previous experience includes serving as interim CFO of a private branded beauty company, a leading multichannel woman’s hair growth brand. He was responsible for improving cash flow by implementing a new 13-week cash flow model; identifying cost savings and improving operating margins from 8% to over 23%; implementing new reporting capabilities, including new budget processes and board level reporting; and co-leading initiatives for the successful sale of the company, which included identifying a buyer, diligence and closing.
Additionally, Mr. Lauro served as Managing Director and functional CFO at a private holding company, which was a direct investment program for a private investment firm with $1+ billion in assets. He was responsible for increasing equity value, which increased by $160 million in four years through profitability and revenue growth initiatives; implementing general improvements in the finance and accounting departments, which led to monthly closes within five days; and leading $750 million of capital market transactions, including growth capital investments, recapitalizations and divestitures.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lauro was a Managing Director at CR3 Capital, a private equity firm executing direct investments in private operating companies.
Mr. Lauro earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant inactive in the state of Georgia.
