Jonathan Zimet

Mr. Zimet advises companies on how to maximise the amount of government funding available for their projects. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including energy, engineering, manufacturing, construction, IT and finance.
Mr. Zimet has helped numerous companies apply for and receive grants of up to AUD70 million for clean energy/decarbonisation projects.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Zimet spent 13 years with KPMG, serving most recently as a Director in the R&D Tax Incentive team where he helped clients obtain R&D Tax benefits totaling over $10 million annually. Mr. Zimet identified key tax risks and opportunity areas, proactively managed risks, including drafting position papers and applying for Advance Findings from AusIndustry. Mr. Zimet has a strong track record in assisting companies who are defending their R&D tax incentive claims against reviews from AusIndustry and the ATO.
Mr. Zimet earned bachelors’ degrees (Honours) in commerce and mechanical engineering from the University of Melbourne.
