Jonathan Zatz is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Forensic Technology Services practice in New York. He specializes in providing data-driven insights to facilitate strategic, operational and regulatory transparency and improvements. His main areas of concentration include implementing technology solutions to solve risk and compliance challenges.

With more than 16 years of consulting and operations experience, Mr. Zatz has led compliance operations at a cryptocurrency broker and exchange and has advised the world’s largest financial institutions on an array of strategic, risk and compliance transformations and remediations.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Zatz served as Head of Compliance Operations at Blockchain.com, where he established the customer onboarding operating model; created the customer risk scoring methodology; developed key risk and performance indicators for management and regulatory reporting; implemented new systems to handle case management, eKYC, trade surveillance and communications monitoring; and expanded blockchain monitoring capabilities.

Previously, Mr. Zatz spent 15 years with EY’s and PwC’s consulting practices, where he led change management engagements; developed analytics to identify sales practices misconduct; accelerated digital enterprise transformations through risk management integration; and led data and development teams supporting AML remediations.

Mr. Zatz earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Pennsylvania.
