Jonathan Sharp

With more than 25 years of corporate executive and consulting experience, Mr. Sharp has led teams driving value-creation in grocery, hospitality, travel, big box, luxury, department store and beauty sectors across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, the U.K., France, Germany, Eastern Europe and South East Asia.
Mr. Sharp’s notable assignments include developing a merchandising, pricing and cost reset for a $30+ billion grocer that enabled it to compete with low-cost discounters. He was responsible for cost-savings of multiple $100 millions and reinvestment into pricing and private label.
Mr. Sharp has extensive experience working in short-life fresh food, including developing a meat value-chain for a mega-cap grocery chain. He led a project that saved +$150 million in supply chain costs through range rationalization and simplified vendor management and managed a team that developed a new salesforce model in the beauty/department store space that responded to changing customer needs and the rise of digital influencers.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sharp spent three years as Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer responsible for profit enhancement and brand portfolio development on the executive leadership team of a travel, food and beverage business. Prior to that, he was seconded to the executive leadership team of Coles Supermarkets in Australia, where he led the cost transformation. Previously, Mr. Sharp spent 20 years with The Boston Consulting Group in the firm’s retail practice leadership, serving as Partner in the U.K., Australia and U.S.
Mr. Sharp earned a master’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford and held a fellowship in political economy from the University of Wales.
