Jonathan Schrubbe is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in New York. With more than 11 years of transaction-related experience, he specializes in buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence projects for both private equity firms and strategic buyers.

Mr. Schrubbe has advised clients on assessing quality of earnings and working capital, leverage recapitalizations, purchase accounting, SEC reporting and GAAP accounting. Additionally, he has advised on complex acquisitions involving businesses that are carved-out of public and private companies. He has served in numerous industries, including manufacturing, industrial products, wholesale distribution, equipment leasing, medical devices, transportation, retail, consumer products, energy and software.

Mr. Schrubbe has extensive experience advising private equity clients that fund transactions through the capital markets, such as private placement transactions under Rule 144A of the Securities Act of 1933.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Schrubbe was a Senior Manager with the transaction advisory services practice of Ernst & Young LLP in New York. Previously, he worked with the transaction advisory services practice of Arthur Andersen. He began his career in the audit and business advisory practice of Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Schrubbe earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola College in Maryland. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York, and an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
