Mr. Williams brings over 25 years of specialized expertise in forensic accounting, damages, valuations and expert testimony.
He has a broad range of experience with regulatory matters, corporate investigations and insurance matters as well as calculating lost profits and quantifying economic losses. John has been qualified in the Federal Court of Canada, The Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and The Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench as a forensic accountant and as an expert in damage quantification and valuation issues.
Mr. Williams has been involved as an expert witness, arbitrator and advisor in matters regarding business interruption and property claims, breaches of contract, tort claims, intellectual property disputes, arbitrations and mediations, post-acquisition disputes and regulatory filings. His experience spans a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, aviation, oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, insurance, telecom, gaming, real estate and transportation.
He has led many large and complex fraud risk assessments as part of comprehensive SOX assignments. He recently provided assistance to numerous CSOX and SOX clients in the areas of fraud risk and Entity Level Controls.
Mr. Williams is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator and has been recognized as a specialist in Forensic and Investigative accounting by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.
