John Morgan

Mr. Morgan’s recent transformation and performance improvement experience includes leading the feasibility analysis, operating model design and detailed business case for a future state offshoring and a shared services model for technical operations functions at a major global pharmaceutical that resulted in $250+ million 10-year net present value (NPV). For the same client, Mr. Morgan developed the supply chain strategic vision, roadmap and detailed operating model design, including an end-to-end supply chain diagnostic and evaluation of offshoring and outsourcing alternatives that resulted in $30+ million 10-year NPV.
Mr. Morgan led the manufacturing and logistics ERP re-implementation workstream for an asset-light global pharma business and has led multiple ERP strategy, optimisation, software selection, business case and consolidation programmes focused on technical operations and supply chain planning and collaboration. He also developed advanced supply chain data analytics capabilities and Industry 4.0 smart factory solutions in partnership with cloud technology providers and McLaren Applied Technology.
Previously, Mr. Morgan led a supply chain segmentation strategy and implementation to equip the manufacturing and planning functions of a major global pharmaceutical company for rapid growth in complexity and number of products.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Morgan held senior roles with Deloitte and Slalom Consulting delivering strategy, operational and digital transformation programmes for his clients. Previously, he held supply chain and manufacturing operations leadership positions with AstraZeneca.
Mr. Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (first class) from Sheffield University and an MBA (with distinction) from Cranfield University.
