John Morgan
Mr. Morgan’s recent operational due diligence experience includes contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) and services organizations. He served as interim Vice President of Internal Manufacturing for a £1 billion revenue pharmaceutical manufacturer, assuming full P&L responsibility for seven global manufacturing sites. Mr. Morgan was also responsible for the operational turnaround of an underperforming animal health pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution facility; here, he secured improvements in customer service and reduction of backorders. Further, Mr. Morgan oversaw the solvent winddown of two US-based pharmaceutical manufacturing sites as part of a footprint optimization program for a global animal health organization.
Mr. Morgan’s due diligence work spans pharmaceutical manufacturers and CDMOs across southern Europe, the US, and India. He has worked on manufacturing and distribution site assessments, R&D laboratories, procurement and supply chains, capital expenditure, product margin analysis, IT, and administration functions. He also led the sign-to-close and Day 1 workstream for an active pharmaceutical ingredient-focused CDMO acquiring a site carved out of a major global company.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Morgan held senior roles with Deloitte and Accenture, where he delivered strategy, operational, and digital transformation programs for his clients. Earlier in his career, he held supply chain and manufacturing operations leadership positions with AstraZeneca.
Mr. Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Sheffield University and an MBA from Cranfield University.
