Jenelle Beavers is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Washington, D.C. She specializes in investigating allegations of fraud, false claims, and conflicts of interest and advising clients on compliance and strategic preventive management in regulated industries.

With more than 17 years of litigation and investigations experience, Ms. Beavers has advised clients on legal, governance and strategic aspects of federal and state investigations across the private sector and government, including for the business software solutions, healthcare delivery, life sciences innovation and higher education industries. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Beavers served with the Civil Frauds Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she led large complex investigations and litigations representing the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Energy, Defense, Treasury, Interior and Homeland Security; interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary experts; and law enforcement personnel.  

Ms. Beavers also advised a four-campus university system and major healthcare services organization, providing legal advice regarding Title VII, Title IX, federal, state and local employment laws, constitutional claims and internal grievances; government investigations; litigation; labor relations management for public sector unions; advancement, investments, trusts and donor relations; federal regulatory compliance; investigations; sponsored research; and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. She also served as Vice President for Strategy at a large, public research institution, where she developed and executed the President’s internal and external policy priorities; led a comprehensive strategic planning process, coordinated across the university on identification, analysis and management of institutional risks; and convened offices of President, Provost and Chief Financial Officer to manage a budget exceeding $1 billion. 

Ms. Beavers earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri and a J.D. and MPH from the University of Michigan, serving on the Michigan Law Review. She sits on the board of the Unbound Book Festival and the advisory board for the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy and is a former member of the Supreme Court of Missouri’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness.
