Jeffrey Richman

Mr. Richman has helped build, lead and drive accountability for A&M’s global corporate tax function, including tax planning, income tax accounting and compliance, transfer pricing and cross-border activity. He manages the tax aspect of legal entity formation and restructuring; global partner related matters; and works closely with senior corporate executives and operating business leaders.
Previously, Mr. Richman spent more than 15 years with A&M Tax in Washington, D.C. He specialized in advising closely-held businesses and high-net-worth individuals, primarily in the professional services and real estate industry.
With more than 24 years of public accounting experience, Mr. Richman has assisted clients in planning for complex transactions and has provided a full range of tax services, from initial planning to implementation. He has also helped clients prepare related federal, state and local tax returns with an expertise in like-kind exchanges, asset capitalization and examination assistance. His real estate experience includes residential rental, commercial office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, mixed-use and resort/golf course communities.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Richman was with Aiello & Associates, an independent tax consulting firm founded by a former Arthur Andersen Partner that focused on serving the real estate industry. Before that, he was with Arthur Andersen in their litigation and forensics group.
Mr. Richman earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a master's degree in taxation from Kogod School of Business at American University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
