Mr. Relf specializes in complex program management, CIO agendas, business process reengineering and the implementation of innovative technologies to address critical business needs.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Relf was with BG Group first as the CIO based in Brisbane, Australia and then as the Head of the North American Supply Chain in Houston. As CIO, he spearheaded the vision, strategic direction, and delivery of the required systems and technology to safely monitor and control the end-to-end hydrocarbon supply chain to support the rapid construction of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) business. As Head of the North American Supply Chain, he provided strategic direction, leadership and commercial acumen to the global supply chain strategy and delivery for BG Group’s $2.8 billion in category spend.
Prior to BG Group, Mr. Relf spent 23 years with Accenture in various roles leading complex projects across Europe, Russia, China, Australia and the United States. His notable assignments include driving key supply chain activities, such as category and subcategory management, strategic sourcing, market approaches, purchasing and contract negotiations. He also designed and led an initiative to deliver class-leading operational excellence around the planning and execution of liquids and gas pipelines, including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), pipeline simulation, leak detection, power cost analysis, process historian and artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Mr. Relf earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Arizona. He holds a certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
