Jay Johnson

With more than 40 years of experience, Mr. Johnson has spent his career advising on and managing upstream operations for a global integrated oil company, including exploration, production, capital projects and planning.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Johnson spent over 40 years at Chevron. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Upstream and was responsible for Chevron’s global exploration and production activities for crude oil and natural gas. During that time, Mr. Johnson led the upstream organization through multiple price collapses; a corporate acquisition and restructuring; and significant growth, with a focus on returns and value. Before that, he served as President of Chevron Europe, Eurasia, and Middle East Exploration and Production Company in London, U.K.
Additionally, Mr. Johnson’s past positions have included Managing Director of the Eurasia business unit in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Managing Director of Chevron's Australasia business unit in Perth, Australia. His prior assignments around the world have included work in planning, production operations, major capital projects and engineering.
Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Louisiana State University.
