Jason Tracy

Mr. Tracy collaborates with C-Suite executives, boards, banks, governments, and investors to stabilize performance, manage stakeholders, address causes of underperformance, and design future plans (covering “safe harbor” legislation, turnaround, M&A, refinancing, and capital restructure). Where stabilization is not possible, he delivers innovative insolvency solutions.
Mr. Tracy occasionally provides expert evidence in regulatory and court proceedings. His experience spans engineering, contracting, property, construction, mining, financial services, manufacturing, technology, retail, tourism, accommodation, and health.
Mr. Tracy’s advisory assignments have included bilateral and syndicate debt situations, in which he has acted for companies, debt, private equity, and other sponsors. Key mandates include numerous Australian Securities Exchange-listed and large private company debt situations, typically ranging from $35 to $500 million, but Mr. Tracy has also advised on exposures of over $1 billion. Recent engagements include Rugby Australia, Porter Davis Homes, Qenos, Longreach, Wingate, Commonwealth Bank Australia, ANZ Bank, Deutsche Bank, PAG, Whiteoak, and Macquarie. His recent formal insolvency and distressed M&A assignments include Keystone Asset Management, Austral Resources, Optima Technology, Laybuy, Clough Group, ProBuild, Lloyd Group, STA Travel, Ralan Group, Colette Hayman, Rapid Loans Group, Direct FX, Linchpin Capital, Quickflix, Tasman Civil, Retail Adventures, and Rubicon.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Tracy spent 20 years with Deloitte, including 13 years as a Partner.
Mr. Tracy earned a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, and law from the University of Technology Sydney. He is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Turnaround Management Association, a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association, and a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is also a Registered Liquidator.
