Jamie Stewart is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Valuations in Sydney. He leads A&M’s Valuations practice in Australia. Mr. Stewart brings more than 17 years of experience in valuing businesses and assets in the Australian market, and more than 20 years of professional experience overall.

Mr. Stewart specializes in valuations of businesses and assets for a variety of purposes, including transactions, tax, financial reporting, impairment testing, and independent expert reports.
    
Mr. Stewart has worked closely with major Australian and global clients across various industries. More recently, he has focused on the resources and energy sectors, as well as on valuations of unlisted assets for infrastructure and venture capital investors. He has advised some of Australia’s largest companies and has been involved in a range of large, complex deals in the Australian market.     
    
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Stewart was a Partner in EY’s Valuation, Modeling & Economics team—he held the role of Partner for five years. Mr. Stewart started his career in EY’s Assurance practice in 2002, before moving to valuations in 2007.

Mr. Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Sydney. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
