James Camp

With more than 18 years of experience, Mr. Camp specializes in advising companies, lenders, and other stakeholders on protecting value in stressed and distressed situations. This includes enhancing value through accelerated sales, completing options analysis, and preparing/executing detailed contingency plans, using formal insolvency processes if required.
Mr. Camp has worked with clients across various sectors, including real estate, retail, aviation, chemicals, engineering, infrastructure, steel, railways, business services, automotive, private finance initiatives, and oil and gas.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Camp worked for a Big Four London restructuring practice, where he played an integral role in a number of high-profile and well-known cases. Those in the public domain included Intu Properties, Toucan Energy, Thomas Cook, Waldorf Energy, Monarch Airlines, Communisis, Peacocks, Travelodge, Southern Cross, and Dunfermline Building Society.
Previously, Mr. Camp was seconded to the Shareholder Executive (now UK Government Investments), where he led various complex projects considering government options for distressed companies.
Mr. Camp earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and politics from the University of Bristol. He is Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) qualified. Mr. Camp is a member of Links Multi Academy Trust, a provider of alternatives to mainstream education for students of compulsory school age in Hertfordshire who would not otherwise receive a suitable education.
