Gustavo Galizzi

With more than 20 years of legal and forensic experience, Mr. Galizzi assists clients with multidisciplinary strategies and tactics in complex investigations, securities litigation, disputes and arbitration. His expertise includes investigative fact finding, business intelligence, forensic accounting and privileged consulting.
Mr. Galizzi frequently conducts investigations for in-house and external counsel into allegations of wrongdoing, including fraud, corruption, financial misstatements, price-fixing, self-dealing and other related forms of misconduct. He also specializes in the design and implementation of policies and other internal controls to ensure compliance with the Brazilian anti-corruption legislation, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-bribery regulations.
In the context of disputes, Mr. Galizzi develops strategies to successfully achieve legal and commercial objectives in connection with commercial, corporate, M&A and construction arbitrations and claims.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Galizzi led the Brazilian team specializing in disputes and investigations at a global consulting company. Before that, he worked with key law firms in Brazil, where he advised local and foreign corporations and private equity funds on a wide range of legal and reputational issues.
Mr. Galizzi earned a PhD from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil; an LLM from the University of Texas at Austin – School of Law and from Minas Gerais Federal University (UFMG), Brazil; and a J.D. from Milton Campos School of Law, Brazil. He was previously recognized in Forensic and Complex Investigations by Leaders League and in M&A and Private Equity by The Legal 500 Latin America. Mr. Galizzi is fluent in Portuguese and English.
