Gorka Echevarria is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Saudi Arabia. He specializes in indirect tax, customs, and international trade. His primary areas of concentration include supply chain transformation, tax technology, M&A, customs optimization, and working capital enhancement.

With more than 20 years of experience, Gorka has advised multinational organizations on complex indirect tax, customs, and trade matters across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia–Pacific, and the Americas. He has extensive experience supporting business transformation initiatives, operating model redesign, tax technology implementations, and global supply chain projects.

Most recently, Gorka served as Global Indirect Tax Director at Lexmark, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide indirect tax strategy, tax governance, controversy management, and tax optimization initiatives. Prior to Lexmark, Gorka held senior tax leadership positions with HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and DXC Technology. Throughout his career, he has led global indirect tax functions and advised senior business stakeholders on strategic tax, customs, and trade matters.

Gorka is a member of the European Commission’s VAT Expert Group and co-author of VAT and International Trade. He previously served as Vice President of the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) EMEA Chapter and as a Board Member of IBFD’s International VAT Monitor. Gorka is fluent in English and Spanish.
