Giovana Campanelli Spada

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Ms. Campanelli has advised clients in business transformations, M&A deals, performance improvement strategies, corporate restructuring and turnarounds, business plan development, cash management and credit advisory. In recent years, she has worked mainly with clients in the real estate sector, but has also worked with various other industries, including sugar and ethanol, oil and gas, banking, pharmaceutical, retail, industrial, and automotive.
In the real estate sector, Ms. Campanelli’s notable assignments include working on turnaround and performance improvement strategies for private equity firms and their companies. Recently, she assessed operating margin improvement opportunities for a private equity publicly invested company and implemented a restructuring strategy for two development firms.
Ms. Campanelli’s engagements include working on a situation analysis and action plan recommendation for a development and construction company that included assessing ongoing projects and alternatives for wind-down, judicial recovery, liquidation and re-vamp strategies and short and long-term liquidity assessment, among other value creation strategies. She also worked in the liquidation of Lehman Brothers’ Latin American assets, focusing on entities and assets sales in Brazil and Colombia and on the liquidation of assets in Colombia, Argentina and Mexico.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Campanelli worked with Vergent Partners in mergers and acquisitions processes and worked with the investment banking division of Banco Espírito Santo (BES).
Ms. Campanelli earned a bachelor's degree in public administration from EAESP-FGV in Brazil. She is a CFA charterholder. A native Portuguese speaker who is fluent in English, Ms. Campanelli holds Brazilian and Italian citizenships.
