Geoff Angulo is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s U.S. Energy practice in Houston. He specializes in the development and implementation of global corporate strategies, asset acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures.
With more than 25 years of professional experience in the energy industry, Mr. Angulo brings significant expertise in addressing a wide variety of challenges, while advising oil and gas executives. His primary areas of concentration include the upstream oil and gas and oil field services sectors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Angulo served as a member of the leadership team and Head of the Strategies & Transaction practice at The Carnrite Group. He led client engagements in the development and implementation of corporate strategies, acquisition screening and diligence and merger and acquisition integration. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Jefferies Group LLC, where he led the execution of more than $38 billion of oil and gas industry transactions, including asset acquisitions/dispositions, corporate acquisitions, basin and asset level joint ventures and corporate finance transactions.
Mr. Angulo earned a bachelor’s degree in history from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston. Mr. Angulo has been a speaker at industry conferences, including the Energy Council’s North America Energy Capital Assembly and has hosted an energy industry focused podcast.
