Frank Buitenwerf is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Amsterdam. He brings more than 15 years of experience on a range of domestic and international taxation issues.

Mr. Buitenwerf specializes in buy- and sell-side tax due diligence, tax structuring and post-merger integration solutions. He has been involved in a wide variety of transactions for corporate as well as private equity buyers and sellers, offering strategic deal advice and handling vendor due diligence, structuring, modeling, SPA advice and negotiations.

Mr. Buitenwerf has worked with clients in various industries, including healthcare, software and technology, energy, consulting, manufacturing and infrastructure.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Buitenwerf spent several years with EY in the transaction tax department, serving most recently as Associate Partner.

Mr. Buitenwerf earned a master’s degree in Dutch civil law and a master’s degree in Dutch tax law from VU University Amsterdam. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors.
