Faisal Shaikh

With over 17 years of experience in the Middle East, Mr. Shaikh has worked with sovereigns and their operating entities, diversified conglomerates, private equity, large family businesses and multinationals on their growth agendas, focusing on M&A and complex financing. Mr. Shaikh brings a wholistic view to the opportunities and challenges facing the boards and the C-suite he extensively works with. His cross solution experience in sectors including consumer products and retail, technology, media and telecommunications, mobility, proteins and industrials allows Mr. Shaikh the ability to identify, navigate and close on opportunities in challenging and rapidly evolving circumstances. He has led and executed transactions across the Middle East, Africa, South and Southeast Asia and Western Europe.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Shaikh served as Head of M&A for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Regional Head of TMT M&A with EY Corporate Finance. His most recent landmark transactions in this role included Savola Group’s $260 million acquisition of Bayara Holdings and E& and ADQ’s majority acquisition of Starzplay Arabia for a post money valuation of $420 million.
Previously, Mr. Shaikh served as Chief Investment Officer and Board Member with a multi-billion-dollar diversified family conglomerate, giving him unique insights into the full transaction lifecycle and a focus on creating sustainable value. He has also served in senior investment banking roles with JPMorgan and Standard Chartered Bank, advising on some of the largest and most complex regional and cross border transactions.
Mr. Shaikh earned an MBA from Cranfield University (Chevening Scholar) (concentration in corporate finance) and an MBA and BBA (honors) from the Institute of Business Administration in Pakistan.
