Erin McKeighan
Bringing over 20 years of restructuring experience, Ms. McKeighan has advised private and public companies across a range of industries, including technology, media and telecommunications, wholesale and retail, manufacturing, and energy (including coal, power generation, oil, and gas). She has advised on more than 40 cases during her career, facilitating the restructuring of over $60 billion in debt obligations.
Ms. McKeighan primarily partners with client stakeholders, including management, boards, sponsors, and creditors. She facilitates restructurings and reorganizations that ultimately place her clients in a stronger financial position. Many of Ms. McKeighan's efforts have centered on assisting companies as they navigate the data-intensive aspects of Chapter 11 and execute complex reorganization plans.
Further, Ms. McKeighan prepares first-day pleadings, coordinates stakeholder communications, supports asset purchase agreement negotiations, provides financial reporting, develops schedules and statements of financial affairs, performs contract and preference analyses, reconciles claims, and executes all facets of post-confirmation activities.
Ms. McKeighan earned a bachelor’s degree in business (concentration in accounting and computer information systems) from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She was recognized as an American Bankruptcy Institute “40 Under 40” honoree in 2021; acts a leadership member with Catholic Charismatic Renewal; serves as a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation; and is a board member of Golden Apple, an organization dedicated to developing and supporting teachers and school leaders.
