Eriks Ciguzis

Mr. Ciguzis brings expertise in mining and metals, energy and utilities, oil and gas and construction industries, focusing on transformation programs, operational and organizational improvement initiatives, capital optimization and procurement. He has worked with private equity clients on commercial due diligence and value creation opportunity identification and has completed 50+ diagnostics for mining and metals companies, covering most major resources, open pit and underground mining and the whole beneficiation cycle, from concentration to smelting, refining and processing, focusing on practical bottom line improvement opportunities through cost and throughput levers.
Mr. Ciguzis’ notable engagements include partnering with an Eastern European vertically integrated fertiliser producer over a nine-year period, through 20+ engagements, covering both production and capital investments, leading to identification and delivery of $400 million EBITDA impact and significant NPV increases, while transferring operational improvement skills and capabilities to the client team.
Additionally, Mr. Ciguzis worked with an Eastern European and Central Asian gold miner over a 10-year period to increase operations efficiency, safety performance and capital management, with an overall EBITDA impact of $200+ million. He also partnered with an Eastern European coal miner to drive a major transformation program over three years in mining and beneficiation and identified and led delivery of operational improvement opportunities of $100 million and the establishment of a continuous improvement team and culture.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ciguzis spent 15 years with Partners in Performance, where he most recently served as Head of CIS and Eastern Europe. He started and grew the business in the region to the leading metals and mining practice. Before that, he spent eight years in strategy consulting across various companies, including Bain and Company and Gemini Consulting.
Mr. Ciguzis earned a BBA, bachelor’s degree in economics and MBA from Stockholm School of Economics. A Latvian national, he is fluent in English, Latvian and Russian.
