Eric Lorge is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Global Transaction Advisory Group. With 25 years of M&A experience, he leads buy- and sell-side cross-functional due diligence engagements for private equity investors.

Mr. Lorge focuses on determining earnings quality and working capital requirements through analyzing financial statements and working with C-suite level management to affect purchase price negotiations. He identifies key business drivers and trends to determine earnings sustainability and growth potential of acquisition targets and ensures that acquisition and financing agreements reflect the proper deal structure and financial due diligence findings. He has extensive experience evaluating investor and management forecast models, synergy/cost savings determination analyses, and carve-out and standalone assessments.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lorge was a Director with KPMG’s Transaction Services, where he led financial due diligence mandates for private equity investors. Previously, he worked with the Transaction Advisory Services practice of Arthur Andersen, and prior to that was with its Audit and Business Advisory Services practice, performing audit engagements for public and private high-growth companies. He also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst with a publicly traded specialty retail company.

Mr. Lorge earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
