Emilien Batouche

Notably at A&M, Mr. Batouche led the design of a new target operating model and the development of a value creation plan for a UK real estate group (£0.5+ billion revenue and 3,000+ employees), expected to deliver circa 10% of cost savings. He also developed a new target operating model for a French laboratory group along with a cost-out program expected to deliver a 9 percentage point EBITDA margin increase.
Mr. Batouche was involved in the preparation and execution of the carve-out of part of a software company (€2+ billion transaction for circa 2,000 employees across circa 40 countries) on behalf of a large-cap PE fund. He also led the carve-out due diligences of a global healthcare distribution group (circa £900 million revenue) and a French professional services firm (circa €500 million revenue).
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Batouche spent over four years with John Laing, an international infrastructure investor owned by KKR, serving most recently as an investment professional. He led the acquisition of The Convention Centre Dublin from origination to closing. Before that, as Vice President Strategy and Partnerships, Mr. Batouche led John Laing’s 2020 strategic review, which included a cost takeout and operating model optimization.
Previously, Mr. Batouche spent two years as a consultant with Boston Consulting Group in Africa, focusing on energy and infrastructure. Prior to that, Mr. Batouche worked in power generation and power transmission with Alstom and General Electric. He held several operational roles covering the overall lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects.
Mr. Batouche earned a master’s degree (with distinction) in industrial and mechanical engineering from the Arts et Métiers engineering school and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a mentor at Article 1, an association helping students from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds to succeed in their education and professional integration. A French and Algerian national, Mr. Batouche is fluent in French and English.
