Elizabeth Dean

With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Dean's primary areas of concentration are patent and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, commercial damages, fraud, forensic accounting, unfair competition, and business consulting matters.
Ms. Dean brings expertise with critical financial and accounting issues, identifying relevant information and preparing thorough and detailed analyses. She has presented the results of her analysis to client senior management and has testified as an expert in federal and state courts and U.S. and international arbitrations. Ms. Dean has worked with clients in various industries, including consumer goods, computer hardware, e-commerce, energy, financial services, insurance, medical devices, mobile devices, pharmaceuticals, real estate, retail, semiconductors, software, technology and telecommunications, and utilities.
Ms. Dean has provided financial and damages analysis on claims involving lost profits, lost wages or benefits, increased costs, lost business or asset value, unjust enrichment, reasonable royalty, license compliance, and forensic accounting. She has consulted on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, breach of joint venture agreements, breach of supply arrangements, forensic accounting and tracing, fraud investigations, patent, copyright, and trade secret disputes, trust accounting disputes, merger and acquisition disputes, product liability and unfair competition claims.
Before joining A&M, Ms. Dean was a Vice President with TM Financial Forensics, LLC, and a Director with Navigant Consulting.
Ms. Dean earned a bachelor’s degree in math and economics from Claremont McKenna College and completed the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program at the University of California at Berkeley. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and a Licensing Professional (CLP).
