Ed Raza

With 19 years of tax accounting experience, Mr. Raza has served large institutions (including FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies) as an external Auditor and across restructuring, tax function optimization, internal tax controls deficiency remediation, and global tax reporting outsourcing. Mr. Raza’s notable assignments include restructuring a global insurer during the 2009 financial crisis, deferred tax asset protection, tax balance sheet optimization, and tax technology transformation. He has also implemented regulatory and accounting transformation for tax reporting, including IFRS 16 lease accounting and IFRS 17 accounting for insurance contracts.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Raza was with EY in New York for 11 years and Hong Kong for eight years, where he most recently served as APAC Tax Accounting Leader. In this role, Mr. Raza built a dedicated team of IAS 12/ASC 740 practitioners across APAC, and an offshore tax accounting center of excellence. Mr. Raza led BEPs Pillar Two market drive in APAC, as the Tax Accounting Services Tower Lead, and implementation experience for companies headquartered in Asia and U.S. across insurance, hospitality, and consumer products.
Mr. Raza earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley University. He is an active Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.
