Christian Büchelhofer
Dr. Büchelhofer specializes in translating operational, commercial, and financial data into robust financial and valuation models that support fact-based decision-making at the executive level. His work centers on assessing alternative scenarios, quantifying their value implications, shaping credible equity stories, and enabling clients to make informed, value-driven decisions. In addition, his expert opinions in financial restructurings have helped accelerate refinancing negotiations with capital providers.
Furthermore, Dr. Büchelhofer provides fact-driven arbitration and dispute advisory services, with a particular focus on damage quantification. Acting as an independent expert, he has delivered numerous fairness and expert valuation opinions. He works closely with legal counsel to assess strategic options from a value-impact perspective and to optimize outcomes in disputes.
Dr. Büchelhofer earned a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, as well as a master’s degree in business research and a doctoral degree (Dr. oec. publ.) in financial economics, both from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the German Arbitration Institute, he is also a guest lecturer at German universities, a frequent conference speaker, and a regular author on topics related to valuation and transaction advisory.
