Mr. Staut has 17+ years of financial experience and nine years of experience providing financial advisory services to healthcare clients across the country.

In his nine years with A&M, Mr. Staut has provided interim management, cash and financial forecasting, strategic planning, crisis management, turnaround consulting, refinancing advisory and operational improvement services to clients in and out of court. He is skilled in the development of detailed cash flow and operating models, liquidation analyses, operational improvement analyses, refinancing and business plan projections in preparation for restructurings and change of control.

He has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to a billion dollar provider of radiation Oncology and integrated cancer care during operational and financial restructuring and on the restructuring team of a $2 billion senior housing developer/manager during the chapter 11 process, 363 auction and wind down of the estate post-confirmation.

Mr. Staut has also served as financial advisor to a 300-bed acute care hospital during the chapter 11 process, 363 auction and wind down of the estate post-confirmation; to a 400-bed Louisiana-based CCRC where he led successful operational turnaround and refinancing; to a large community hospital which was an investor in an underperforming proton therapy center; to five Connecticut skilled nursing facilities during the chapter 11 restructuring process; and to a $150 million CCRC during pre-packaged bankruptcy restructuring.

He has provided merger integration for a community hospital being combined into a $1 billion hospital network and completed multiple operational/due diligence assessments of various health care operators including revenue cycle, staffing and expenses.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Staut worked for Merrill, Lynch & Co. in Corporate Treasury as VP of Global Liquidity Risk Management. During his time there, he forecasted firm-wide cash flows for senior management and implemented short, medium and long-term funding strategies based upon cash flow forecasts.

Mr. Staut earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Kentucky and an MBA from the Columbia Business School with a core concentration in finance. Mr. Staut is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
