Mr. Staut is serving as an Interim Chief Financial Officer to a billion dollar provider of integrated cancer care, leading financial and operational restructuring for the organization.
He was a financial advisor and project lead to a 300-bed acute care hospital during its chapter 11 process, 363 auction and wind down of the estate, post-confirmation proceedings. Mr. Staut has also served as a financial advisor on a number of other prominent turnaround and restructuring proceedings. He advised a 400-bed Louisiana-based CCRC in a successful operational turnaround and refinancing. He served as financial advisor to a large community hospital which was an investor in an underperforming proton therapy center, as well as to five Connecticut skilled nursing facilities during the chapter 11 restructuring process. Mr. Staut was a financial advisor to a $150M CCRC during pre-packaged bankruptcy restructuring.
Mr. Staut served as a member of the A&M CRO team, in conjunction with several interim management teams, assisting a $2B senior housing developer/ manager during the chapter 11 process, 363 auction and wind down of the estate post-confirmation. He was also a member of an interim management team acting as CRO to two $150M Chicago area continued care retirement communities.
Mr. Staut led a merger integration assignment for a community hospital being combined into a $1B hospital network, and has been instrumental on multiple other operational and due diligence assessments of various health care operators including revenue cycle, staffing and expenses.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Staut worked for Merrill, Lynch & Co. in Corporate Treasury as Vice President of Global Liquidity Risk Management. During his time there, he forecasted firm-wide cash flows for senior management and implemented short, medium and long term funding strategies based upon cash flow forecasts.
Mr. Staut earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from The University of Kentucky and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Columbia Business School with a core concentration in Finance. Mr. Staut is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
