Donald C. Parkerson

Mr. Parkerson specializes in turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, restatements, technology implementations, revenue cycle management, developing and implementing strategic organizational initiatives, partnerships, SEC reporting and organizational leadership. He has held executive leadership positions across various industries, including healthcare, multimedia publishing and business services.
Mr. Parkerson’s notable assignments include serving as IT Audit Director for the newly created internal audit group of a multi-billion-dollar public healthcare company after its financial crisis. Within eighteen months, he assumed the position of Controller for the company’s $1 billion ambulatory-surgery division, where, along with normal controller functions, he was responsible for the partnership accounting group and managed accounting due diligence for the division’s successful sale.
Mr. Parkerson served as a CFO Engagement Partner for major national executive service firms. He was EVP, CFO and COO of a private equity-backed multi-media medical education publishing company, where he managed the sale of the business to a strategic buyer.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Parkerson co-founded Young, Parkerson & Co., LLP where he was a financial audit and technology Consulting Partner for 25 years.
Mr. Parkerson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Delta State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
