Debra Cash is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Houston. With more than 25 years of financial experience, she brings extensive financial reporting, transaction and operational capabilities to a number of industries.

Ms. Cash focuses on financial and management reporting, planning and budgeting, accounting remediation, finance back office process improvement and internal controls. She also brings interim management experience, having served as a CFO of an international outsourcing organization.

She has advised both healthy and troubled companies across energy and financial services industries. Her roles have included the negotiation of divestitures and settlements with creditors, assisting with the development and disclosures related to plans of reorganization.

In addition, she spent 15 years at a Big Five accounting firm. As a partner, Ms. Cash provided technical accounting consultation services related to highly structured financial transactions, IPOs, pre-acquisition due diligence and risk management consulting services. She also served as the regional technical expert in derivatives and provided a variety of operational and financial reporting related services to clients in energy and financial services.

Ms. Cash earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas. She is also a member of the Financial Executives International (FEI) and the Texas Society of CPAs.
