David Willis is a Managing Director with Alvarez and Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Sydney, and serves as the practice’s Head in Australia. He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial due diligence, with a focus on private equity transactions.

Mr. Willis has advised private equity funds and corporate buyers on buy- and sell-side and IPO transactions. He has worked across a range of sectors, including consumer and retail, healthcare, financial services, childcare, software, industrials and hospitality and leisure.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Willis was a Partner at KPMG Australia for 16 years, specialising in Transaction Services, and was the National Head of Private Equity for KPMG for over 10 years. He also led KPMG’s Capital Markets practice and was the Investigating Accountant on the IPO of FINEOS, Wistech Global, IVE Group, oOh!media, Eclipx Group, SG Fleet, Pacific Smiles, Veda and Touch Ventures.

Mr. Willis earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Tasmania. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
