David Müller-Elmau is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Transformation Services in Düsseldorf. He specializes in the operational execution of integration and carve-out projects across the entire transaction lifecycle for large multinationals.

With more than 15 years of industry and consulting experience, Mr. Müller-Elmau has worked on large scale transformation programs from strategic planning to execution. He has worked with clients in various industries, including chemicals, life sciences and consumer products.

Mr. Müller-Elmau’s notable assignments include a global carve-out for a Dax 30 life sciences company with a deal value of €2,5 billion; the integration playbook for a Dax 30 chemical company to secure serial acquisition strategy; and the integration and collaboration concept for several start-up integrations into big corporates with deal volumes between €10 –50 million. He also worked on the divestment of various crop science assets for a global chemicals company with a deal value of €9 billion and an asset swap in animal and consumer health with a deal value of €22 billion.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Müller-Elmau spent more than seven years with the Ernst & Young Transaction Strategy & Execution practice in Düsseldorf. He served most recently as Senior Partner, leading the integration practice across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Previously, Mr. Müller-Elmau worked with VION Food Group for more than seven years, serving as Managing Director for a business unit with a yearly turnover of €450 million, with 1.700 employees and seven production sites. He was fully P&L responsible and led the operative business and carve-out to private equity.

Mr. Müller-Elmau earned an MBA degree from WHU, Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar and an LLM from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf with two state exams in law. A German national and member of the German Bar Association, he is fluent in English.
