David S. Miller

With more than 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Miller has advised large and mid-sized companies and has represented secured lender groups and official committees of unsecured creditors. He has worked on over 150 transactions, primarily including Chapter 11 reorganizations, M&A and corporate finance transactions. He also served as debt and/or equity principal on behalf of a major global financial services institution, for which he led a number of informal and formal restructuring transactions.
Mr. Miller has advised boards of directors through formal and informal restructurings. His significant restructuring engagements include advising Delta Air Lines prior to and during its Chapter 11 reorganization; representing the unsecured creditors of NPC Corporation in its successful restructuring; advising the lenders to Alpha Media and LATAM Airlines, Inc. prior to and during their Chapter 11 cases; advising a privately owned quick service restaurant franchisee in the restructuring of $300+ million of debt and other obligations; and assisting Cumulus Media, Inc., Murray, Inc., United Companies and WestPoint Stevens in their Chapter 11 cases.
Mr. Miller has worked with clients in various industries, including aviation, broadcast radio, building products, business services, capital equipment, distribution, financial services, infrastructure, metals, oil and natural gas, real estate and transportation.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Miller spent nine years in Atlanta and New York City with Macquarie Capital (USA), where he was a Managing Director in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group. Previously, he was a founding member of Giuliani Capital Advisors. Before that, he ran the Atlanta office of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.
Mr. Miller earned a BBA from Emory University. A Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, he holds a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
