Mr. Wijeyeratne has experience across the whole strategic sourcing process, from leading 50+ deep-dive due diligences to running complex multi-site sourcing implementation programmes. He delivers benefits through levers such as competitive sourcing and through working extensively with key technical and commercial stakeholders to challenge specifications, improve planning and work processes and strategic partnerships with key vendors.
Mr. Wijeyeratne delivers savings in all spend categories, including commodities, complex manufactured products, outsourced services and manufacturing consumables; and across all indirects, including staffing, logistics, marketing, fleet, facilities and professional services.
Some of Mr. Wijeyeratne’s notable clients include Nestle, Cummins Generators, National Grid, Tullow Oil, BP and Thames Water. He recently sourced the steel category from China and India for a U.S.-based aerospace and industrials group, delivering savings through specification rationalisation, index-linked pricing and competitive tenders; managed the value creation delivery for a UK-based chain of PE owned holiday parks; and built the value creation plan for a $2 billion PE-backed global refractory company.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr Wijeyeratne was a Partner at Efficio, the world's largest specialist procurement and supply chain consultancy, where he led savings initiatives in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Previously, he was a Consultant with the European Supply Chain and Operations practice of PwC, and before that, he spent 10 years in senior procurement roles with 3M, BMW and Britvic Soft Drinks.
Mr. Wijeyeratne earned a bachelor's degree in transport and logistics management from the University of Aston in Birmingham. He is a British national.
