Daniel Linaker is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring & Turnaround in Melbourne. He has more than 17 years of experience in corporate turnaround and restructuring, driving outcomes for clients in a range of situations where capital is at risk.

Mr. Linaker specializes in advising businesses and stakeholders through periods of underperformance and stress. He works to understand drivers and then design and implement solutions through independent business reviews, short-term cash-flow planning and management, debt restructuring, contingency planning, and insolvency. He has supported clients across a broad range of industries, including construction, automotive, fast-moving consumer goods, aviation, manufacturing, and financial services.

Mr. Linaker’s notable experience includes advising a secured private lender prior to and during a borrower’s voluntary administration; assisting a global retail business in negotiating key contracts to stabilize its declining financial performance; and working with a large, financially distressed chemicals manufacturing business to execute a sale, offering alternative outcome considerations and contingency planning in the event the sale did not proceed.
