Dang Kha is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Sydney.

Mr. Kha advises on complex income tax matters affecting private clients, which include tax structuring, restructures, mergers/integrations, tax controversy and tax compliance support. His primary area of focus is professional services firms (accounting, architecture, engineering, financial services, law, medicine and management consulting).

With more than 18 years of tax advisory experience, Mr. Kha has supported a wide range of private clients to make informed decisions on complex tax matters. He utilises his practical experience to help clients factor in other indirect tax and commercial considerations as part of the decision-making process.

Mr. Kha’s notable assignments include working on the global integration of two international law firms. Most recently, he was responsible for the domestic restructure of a U.K. headquartered Magic Circle law firm, which involved technical discussions and negotiations with the Australian Taxation Office. Mr. Kha has worked with clients across various industries, including fast-growing private companies, private equity backed groups, professional services and the property development industry.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kha spent more than 15 years in the Big 4, including two years with Deloitte in Sydney, where he most recently served as Account Director. He was the lead director and tax advisor to most of Deloitte’s law firm clients, amongst others. 

Mr. Kha earned a bachelor’s degree in business (concentration in accounting) and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Technology Sydney and an LLM from the University of New South Wales. He has been admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
