He has worked with clients across a variety of industries, including discrete and process manufacturing, retail and apparel, hotel and hospitality, aviation and MRO operations, and building and construction. His consulting experience has included a wide range of functional and technical implementation experience, including supply chain strategy articulation, planning and forecasting process, systems and implementation, operational due diligence, inventory planning and forecasting, manufacturing planning and scheduling, performance management, business systems strategy and assessment, and ERP systems implementations.

Recent engagements include: leading a performance improvement initiative for a $2+ billion chemicals and building products manufacturer focused on profitability enhancement. The effort included developing profitability models for 20+ plants and developing pricing and operational costing improvements impacting product and customer profitability; leading a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) improvement initiative for a $1+ billion consumer appliance company. This included the design and implementation of a new S&OP process, and integrating and refining existing demand / supply planning activities / tools.

He also led efforts with a Tier 1 auto supplier to improve overall delivery metrics and inventory planning associated with the division’s largest automotive OEM customer in the U.K. The effort included the development of daily and weekly release management, improved inventory planning visibility and accuracy, and production planning and prioritization strategies.

Before joining A&M, Mr. Phillips worked for a top-tier retail and consumer products consulting firm serving clients in the retail, apparel and footwear industries. Earlier, he was with the strategy and business architecture practice of a major technology service provider.

He began his career with the Southeast Supply Chain practice of Andersen Business Consulting, primarily serving clients in the manufacturing and consumer products industries.

Mr. Phillips earned a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is certified in Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) from the VICS organization.
