Mr. Merkt advises clients on traditional transaction-related matters, including extensive EBITDA and cash flow analysis, purchase price negotiation and review, various financial analyses surrounding revenue and cost trends, post-close liquidity analysis, analysis of working capital, pro forma builds, sales effectiveness and pipeline analysis, as well as many other ad hoc KPIs.
Additionally, Mr. Merkt brings significant experience and deep knowledge of complex carve-out out transactions in which extensive stand-alone operating analyses are required, as well as a bottoms up cost builds.
Mr. Merkt assists various client portfolio companies in building and evaluating budgets and 5-year strategic plans.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Merkt served as the Head of Finance and Sales Operations for a San Francisco based Public Company. Before this Public Company role, Mr. Merkt spent ten years with A&M and PwC where he gained extensive deal experience in software, hardware, retail, restaurants, as well as various other industries.
Mr. Merkt earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Cal Poly SLO and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California.
