Chris Hogg

Mr. Hogg has provided advisory services to lenders, investors, and boards across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions. His recent sector experience includes wholesale/distribution, food supply and processing, manufacturing, oil and gas, and financial services, in the U.K., the Netherlands, the U.S, Germany, Pakistan, Norway and South Africa. Mr. Hogg's experience includes complex restructuring assignments, often including operational and financial reviews, as well as stakeholder options analysis, stabilisation and crisis management plans, financial restructuring advice and multi-tiered stakeholder management.
Mr. Hogg’s recent notable engagements include advising the board of a Dutch shipbuilder, assisting management in formulating, negotiating and implementing a financial restructuring transaction. He oversaw an M&A process that resulted in the company retaining proceeds from the sale of a material subsidiary for future operational funding and retaining access to bank facilities, with the final transaction being delivered through the Dutch courts via a WHOA.
Mr. Hogg has also advised the board of a global helicopter operator through the group’s financial restructuring and Chapter 11 process. He provided a full business plan review and restructuring support to the lenders to an international car-hire business and has advised the senior lenders to a U.K. business through an M&A process that led to the recapitalisation and ownership of the business by its lenders, bringing in a new management team, changing the strategic direction of the group and divesting of non-core divisions.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hogg spent nine years in the financial restructuring team at FTI Consulting. Prior to that, he worked at PWC in restructuring. Mr. Hogg has completed an 18-month secondment at a major international clearing bank.
Mr. Hogg earned a bachelor’s degree (honours) in modern history and economics from Manchester University. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
