Carrie Valente

With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Valente conducts proactive risk monitoring, compliance program development and transformation, compliance remediation, and third-party risk management services in relation to regulatory issues including financial crimes, fraud, Securities and Exchange Commission and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board enforcement, and data privacy, among other matters. She also has experience conducting complex and cross-border regulatory investigations.
Ms. Valente has worked with clients across various industries, including financial services, digital assets, payments, retail, technology, and gaming, as well as with other professional services firms.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Valente served as Managing Director at AlixPartners, where she led and delivered a wide variety of risk and compliance remediation and advisory projects for global companies. Before that, she spent more than 20 years at KPMG, where she most notably served as Managing Director. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
Ms. Valente earned a bachelor’s degree in economic crime investigation from Syracuse University. She is an active member in many related professional associations and organizations, including the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, Women in Payments, Women’s White Collar Defense Association, and Women, Influence & Power in Law.
