Mr. Mendes brings 17 years of professional experience in advising multisectoral companies and leading S&O consulting practices.
Mr. Mendes has worked on complex, strategic and operational engagements across the consumer business, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, insurance and infrastructure industries in Brazil, the United States and Latin America. Some of his notable client assignments include J&J, ABI/Ambev, Philips, Votorantim, Grupo Abertis, Goodyear, Walmart, GPA, NII/Nextel, Sompo and LATAM. Currently, Mr. Mendes leads several opportunities and engagements related to rapid results, governance and business management. Over the last decade, he has developed multidisciplinary teams, partnership ecosystems and strategic business consulting offerings.
In the past, Mr. Mendes was the head of all Pricing & Profitability Management Initiatives at one of the Big Four consulting companies, where he acted as a focal point in Brazil with direct and permanent interaction with the headquarter of Global Pricing Center of Excellence in Atlanta and Chicago. Additionally, he oversaw all customization and development of local approach, methodology, sales speech, good practices, researches, diagnostics, engagements, tools and pricing solutions (Vendavo, PROS, DemandTec, Itim/Profimetrics) for the local market.
Most recently, Mr. Mendes led a successful launching of a new Business Unit related to Consumer Product industry for consulting services, including the full cycle of market analysis, go to market strategy, prospection, portfolio design, negotiation, deal close and expansion in relevant organizations in Brazil. Has proven experience in different capabilities related to business strategy, business plans, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy/commercial policy, channel strategy, supply chain, cost reduction, business processes, operational and financial assessments, customer experience, VMO in business transformation, organization structure, strategic sourcing and segmentation.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mendes served as Senior Director in the business consulting arm of NTT Data/Everis Brazil, where he acted as Head of all business consulting services and clients. He was also a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting – Customer & Market Strategy.
Mr. Mendes earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from FAAP and an MBA in finance from Insper. He speaks fluent Portuguese and English and advanced Spanish.
