Brooks Butler

With more than eight years of experience in corporate taxation, Mr. Butler specializes in advising companies on federal, state and international income tax matters, with a concentration in federal income tax planning, compliance, provision and financial reporting.
Mr. Butler has advised multinational public, non-public, corporate and flow-through entities with federal, state and international income tax matters, including ASC 740, compliance services, financial reporting, bankruptcy tax matters, tax planning, IRS and state audit support, as well as tangible property issues. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including renewable energy, technology and manufacturing.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Butler spent two years with Covenant House International in Chicago, where he most recently served as Director of Finance. He established and developed finance and accounting processes for a startup affiliate and oversaw the acquisition and renovation of a new facility serving as the local affiliate’s headquarters and expanding their services.
Mr. Butler earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Middle Tennessee State University and an MPA (concentration in taxation) from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas.
