He has served clients across the U.S. and has extensive experience in the financial services, telecom, high-tech and retail industries.
At A&M, Mr. Pedersen serves as a member of the firm’s core bankruptcy and troubled companies team. He is also the leader of the firm’s state income tax competency team.
He has consulted extensively with clients in the merger, acquisition, divestiture and reorganization areas.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Pedersen was a tax partner with KPMG, serving as the National Partner in charge of income and franchise tax, and was a member of KPMG’s retail and telecommunications teams.
Earlier, he was a partner at Arthur Andersen, where he led their state and local tax practice for the Pacific Northwest region.
Mr. Pedersen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana in political science and a master's degree in business administration.
He frequently speaks on state and local tax matters and has been an adjunct faculty member at the Portland State University School of Business Administration, as well as teaching a variety of state and local tax training courses at various universities in the Pacific Northwest.
He is a licensed CPA in Oregon and Washington.
